Jose R. Perez, MD
Dr. Jose Ramon Perez graduated from the Facultad de Ciencias Medicas de la Habana in Cuba. After moving to Miami, he completed his family medicine residency in Jackson Memorial Hospital and then went on to work at the esteemed Baptist Health South Florida, where he has provided high-quality care to hundreds of patients in several of the Baptist facilities throughout Southern Florida. Dr. Perez is Board Certified in Family Medicine and his extensive experience of more than 20 years has allowed him to practice medicine in various scenarios throughout different countries caring for patients of all ages. He states, “Becoming a doctor and playing a direct role in a patient’s life is the most meaningful component of what I do and it is incredibly emotionally rewarding. Medicine is my tool and I utilize it to make a difference in people's lives; I truly wouldn’t change my profession for anything in this world.”
Onaidy Ferrero, APRN
Since her early years, Ms. Onaidy Ferrero knew her natural gift was to care for others. The nursing profession has given her the opportunity to put that gift into action. Ms. Ferrero earned her Bachelor's and Master of Science degrees in Nursing from Florida International University in Miami. Ms. Ferrero strongly believes that the understanding of an illness in connection to the patient’s needs is a critical aspect of providing top-notch patient care. She states, "My genuine desire to help others is what drove me to pursue a lifelong career in the medical profession. As a nurse, I can provide comfort and happiness to my patients; as a nurse practitioner, I am able to diagnose and have the autonomy to choose and initiate the proper treatments best suited for my patient's well-being. Ultimately, caring for others is a large component of working in the medical field and I consider myself an eternal apprentice and servant of the nursing profession."
